Back Pain.....Back Pain, Anyone???

Holy Jesus, I must go see my Chiropractor bright and early Monday morning!!!
I am in extreme pain...Today, I could not take it anymore and broke down in front of my 4 year old. I tried not to, but the pain was so severe that I just broke down and cried, I feel awful for doing that. My son looked so worried.
He said "Mommy dont cry" "me and the baby are here to take care of you" and that made me so sad, that I had put that kind of worry on my child. So somehow I got a few breaths in and took some Aleve and put on a brave face. I stretched my back muscles and put a heat patch on, nothing seems to make this go away!!
ugh, I would not wish this on anyone
well, gotta go. I cant sit in this chair any longer.
Goodnight

Afternoon at the Pumpkin Patch...

This afternoon, I had a lot of fun with my family. Here is a picture of me and my family..Ta da!!
This a South Florida version of a Pumpkin Patch. Did you really think we have real pumpkin farms out here!! Nope...Oranges yes...Pumpkins NOOOOOOO!!! It's Florida and I love it.
I grew up in New York so I'm a Northerner at heart and I miss the Fall season, watching the leaves turn color and the cold weather, all those beautiful things. So I try to do a lot of fall oriented activities with the kids (my oldest one anyway!!) and teach them about the changing seasons.
This picture was made possible by the kindness of strangers who offered to take the pic for us since they saw that we were taking turns taking pictures with the kids. I thank them whoever they are...you guys make a cute couple, who knows maybe one of them will stumble onto my blog....
I told my oldest son to pick any pumpkin he liked so we can bring home and carve.....

After carefully examining the crop...this is what my darling picked. Ahh yes, I almost forgot.
The Hat!! his school had a pretend airplane trip and he had to bring luggage and pack it with clues pertaining to his destination. My son said he was going to NYC,so we packed. He went to school all decked out in his pilots cap and his junior wings. He takes after his daddy!! he he

Now, here is my baby...
It's his first Halloween and we are enjoying doing all this all over again with him. I am extremely happy to have him and since I dont intend to have anymore children, I'm trying to take it all in and not miss a detail.
"Isn't he cute!!!!!!!"
I am in love with my children and I feel so blessed everyday of my life when I look at the beautiful family God has given me the privilege to have. Now, I look forward to Halloween and trick or treating with my hubby and the boys.
Till next time dear bloggers...muah

Folks, I'll tell you all about it tomorrow. I'll be sure to take pictures.

Bad day, What else is new?!

Today I am exhausted!! Yesterday was just HARD. My day started bright and early at around 7 am. Got up and got my son ready for school. Had the usual morning argument with Pumpkindoodle (that would be my 4 yr old) about why he cant take toys to school. He is totally into airplanes, cars and trucks. It so happens to be airplane week for the letter A. he is so argumentative, you'd think he was a lawyer. He gives you points in his favor as to why I should allow him to bring his jet to class. He will say;
Pd: "Mommy, Ms. Teresa (his Pre-k teacher) said I could bring my Airplane because, it's the letter A and we could bring things that start w/ A"
now, how could I say no to that!! you may wonder?! well, its real easy. I had let him take things to school before, however I was informed by his teacher that he will watch those items like a hawk and not pay attention to the lesson. This is where I draw the line and say, NO!!
Then once that little issue was settled, I drove him to school and chatted with other class mommies and then came back home. Now, hubby and baby were waiting for me very happily. I made him breakfast then he took off for work. Alone at last, I say! OOh wait a minute, I forgot about the sleeping baby. he he...bad mommy!!. I scold myself.
I proceed to prepare for the rest of the day that is only bound to get more hectic as the hours pass and I do
some laundry
prep dinner
bathe baby
check email\
pay bills
cried some "You know that goes, one minute I'm happy and full of energy and the next I'm crying my eyes out"
the OMG!! it's 2:15 pm time to go get pumpkindoodle.....rush rush rush!!!
then I get him, give him a snack so that he can have some time to play before we have to leave to yet another T-ball game....which by the way he is doing extremely well for a kid who 2 weeks ago was pulling out little flowers for mommy mid-game. 2 hours later i give him dinner and off we go. I am so proud
So, anyway, by the time we got home after the game and everything else, it was 8:30 pm wayyyyy past his bedtime. I gave him a bath, read him a story, hug-kiss and I swear he was out in like 1 minute.
Now i move on to infant and give him a bath, his bottle and off to sleep too. Thank God he is a good baby. and I made it to bed about 11:30 I was just dead by then.....
like I have said many times and dont think I'll tire of saying it. "being a mommy is the hardest job I will ever have" So I better do a good job.

We read "I'm a Big Brother now"

Last night after a long day of running around to my oldest sons t-ball game, grandmas house, the mall and the Oh so dreaded trip to the supermarket with the baby and him. We were pretty tired, but my son regardless of how tired he may be, always always has to be read to in bed. So, I decide to read the book "I'm a big brother now" Since We had a baby in July and he is still learning about babies. This book helps the child with understanding that because there is a new baby in the house and they require a lot of attention. It does not mean that Mommy and Daddies love for them has changed. It helps to reassure him. My son has done really well in all this, he loves his baby brother and does not seem to be too jealous. When I finished, I asked my son;
me: "what do you like best about being a big brother?"
he quickly replied;
B: "eating bananas, apples, pop tarts and Ice cream!"
me: ha hahah hahah ah
then he is quickly dozing off but then I guessed he remembered one more thing he liked; I'm thinking he is going to say something about the baby, but;
B: "ooh yeah and drink juice too!"
and before I could say anything back he was complete knocked out. Kids are so precious and just when you think you're going to get a straight answer out of them, they manage to surprise you. I love it.

honey, what's for dinner??... "chickcan"....huh?!!!

My darling hubby made dinner for me yesterday and this is something that I really enjoy. This does not happen as often as I would like it, but whenever he gets the urge to cook GOSH!! you don't have to tell me twice....I clear the way. So I see he's got a whole chicken, spices, a potato, some beer and a weird looking contraption. so I take a seat around the kitchen table and I ask him;

me: "honey, what are you making?"
hubby: "Chicken"
me: "I can see that grumpy! how are you going to cook it?"
hubby: I don't know" w/ beer"

now, I'm thinking to myself I gotta see this. This from a man who's culinary expertise goes as far as boiling potatoes and frying some eggs. So I get comfortable.

I ask "where did you get this recipe from?"
hubby: "a buddy from work"

I'm very surprised!! again, this from a man who helps me out with the chores around the house, but wont let me tell anyone he does for fear of looking domesticated. OMG!! I tell him "what a sin" "you mop floors"....but I leave him alone. The last thing I want is for him to get upset and decide he wont ever cook for me. He then proceeds to tell me about his beer chicken. Sounds Yummy!!! I say, mind you I cringe at the thought of drinking beer. It all stems from a bad experience as a teenager. what else, I gave in to peer pressure and had one beer and boy was that a big mistake. I got so drunk and threw up so much that to this day I have never drank beer again. so, beer chicken does not sound as appetizing as my hubby is making it sound. so he proceeds to season the chicken with some rub-on seasoning and some of my homemade seasoning ( yes folks, I make my own seasoning) then he put a beer can in this thing called
a ChickCan Rack then prop the seasoned chicken on top of it put a small potato on the neck cavity.... " the potato will seal the heat inside the chicken and will keep it moist" my hubby says. I'm ready to fall out of my chair in shock, he is actually making something that requires touching raw meat, which he says cant do when I want him to do it and here he is going all out. Wow, did someone switch out my husband and sent me a Paula Deen wanna-be!! He then takes this chicken out to our grill and places it on the rack, turns it on and tells me that it will be ready in 2 hours. 30 minutes later.....Now I am really excited and I cannot tell a lie "the beer chicken is starting to smell really delicious" Over the course of the next 2 hours I watched my husband so diligently check and turn his chicken every 20 minutes or so, making sure it is cooking evenly.
Finally, I cant wait to try it, so I ask;

me: "is it ready yet?"
hubby: " Yes"
me: "yippee"
he removes the chicken from the grill and serves it on a big platter with salad and garlic bread....holy cow!! "X-mas came way early this year" I must say, it looked beautiful, it was so golden brown and it smelled delicious. He proceeds to carve out a piece of the breast for me. He places it on my plate and pretends like he is not looking at me, he just waits for my reaction and once I tasted it.....I just got up from the table and gave him the biggest hug and kiss. He did it, he actually made something edible and tasty and nutritious. I am so sorry I did not take a picture of it. I should have cause this was definitely something for the record books.
I was not so sure at first but I told him I cant wait until he makes it again and I promise folks, I will take a picture of it to sow you. Also, if some of you curious people want the recipe, leave me a comment and I will be more that happy to post it for you. Also, I can tell you where you can get the rack.

T-ball....run..run...run

Ok, so my husband and I decided to enroll our oldest son in T-ball, we thought it was a good idea to have him do some type of sport and be around other children more since there's not much he can do with his baby brother who is only 3 months old and most of his cousins are girls. So the adventure begins!! where I live it has been raining almost on a daily basis and I mean pouring cats and dogs so the team has not been able to get in all of the practices they needed before the season started. Mother nature, gotta love her!! so the past week we have had 3 games. we've won 2 and lost 1. I have sat there so proudly watching my son who happens to be the youngest player in his team ( Yankees) play with dirt, pull out the weeds and dance in the middle of the field to the beat of his own tunes. All I can think is how cute!! But will my son ever listen to the coaches who have to constantly bring him back to his playing position?! I thought it was going to be impossible!! but last night something wonderful happened...my kid was actually listening and he did so well that he hit the ball and got on base all the way home without getting tagged out. Holy Jesus!! by this point I am jumping up and down and cheering so loud for my little guy and I could tell that he was so proud of himself too...he just stood there on home plate showing off for about a minute just smiling real big and looking at my husband and I as if saying with his big expressive eyes LOOK AT ME!!!!
Mom and Dad...I DID IT!!!!!
Yeah!!
I was soooo proud at that moment I could have melted. hahahahahha
We won the game. my son won a medal from his coach for running really fast and listening. That was the highlight of my son's day. That is all he talked about on the ride home and I'm sure when I pick him up from school today I will hear some more. I LOVE IT!! besides it gives me another approach on how to teach my son about effort, team spirit and good listening skills.

What did I miss????

So this morning I am getting my 4 yr old breakfast and getting ready to drive him to school, when I hear on the radio Ellen Degeneres' voice. She is very shaken up and saying that she just cannot come out do the show and be funny when things are going terribly wrong. What?? obviously I did not watch the shoe yesterday of all days :-0 immediately I turn up the radio and listen to hear what was going on, but they were on the tale end of the report and I was left with all this confusion. What could be so wrong in Ellen's life??? I mean the woman is so funny and strong. I could not help it, but I felt like crying just listening to her!! so I figured as soon as I got back from driving my son to school I would search the web and try to find out what happened. No luck people, I cant find anything on it, not even on youtube. I just hope that what ever the matter is, she can resolve it and be back to her happy self again. I can't wait for the entertainment news tonight!!
Hey, if any of you know. Drop me line, will ya?!

Britney Spears gets Booked!!

As you all already know, Ms. Spears is in the news on a daily basis. Unfortunately for her it isn't good publicity. Her latest and greatest Pink wigged Britney turns herself in to police to face charges stemming from an August fender-bender. 9:25 PM Miss Britney Spears checked into the Van Nuys County Jail for a court ordered booking. She was put through standard booking procedures which included booking photographs( Gosh, I cant wait to see the pic!!), fingerprinting and collection of information. Britney was at all time cooperative in the process. She was there approximately 45 minutes. They said she was never put in a holding cell, and she was polite and courteous to the officers. cops offered her the back entrance -- but she declined, opting to go in the front door. Why are they trying to accommodate her?? she needs to be admitted to some kind of institution AGAIN!! I know it sounds mean but something has to give. If it was one of our daughters how much tolererance do you think they would get. She will probably do 45 minutes in jail.

Relationships

Ok, so I am not a relationship expert or therapist, but I have a lot to say about the topic.
Ladies!! I am here to listen, interact with all of you out there who need to vent about anything going on in your relationship. Maybe I can say something to help you see things in a different way. All my friends are always telling me I should have been a therapist, if I could only listen to my own advice. You know how that goes, you can help someone else with their problems but you just cant seem to fix your own. hahah I crack myself up.
Anyway, drop me a line if you need someone to chat with. Seriously!! I love making new friends.

Rough day..

Today I feel sick!! I have a sore throat and runny nose that I got from my 4 yr old son, who has a bad cough he brought home from school. It seems like I cant keep up with all the stuff going around in his school. I just felt like today I was not going to make it. I have a 3 month old baby boy and any new mom knows that can be hard on your best day let alone on a day where you just dont feel good. All I want to do is go to sleep, but lord knows I cant. In a few hours I was going to have to go pick up my oldest from pre-k. Gotta get things done before i go so that I can try to stay ahead of the game ( dinner, chores, etc). It's funny how your kids can turn a rough day into a bright, better day. When I picked up my son, he greeted me with excitement. He proceeded to tell me how he learned about ants!! Fire ants, worker ants, army ants and that he told his teacher, Ms. Teresa that he did not want to be like a fire ant because they bite mommies and daddies. Kids!! All I can say is that at that moment I kinda forgot all of my ailments and tried my best to be cheerful my son. Motherhood by far has been the most rewarding and the HARDEST job I've ever had. Bar None!!
